Banish Your Pain, Naturally
Did You Know?
This pretty flower is an herb known as Arnica Montana.
It also goes by several other monikers: Wolf's Bane, Leopard's Bane, and Mountain Tobacco, to name a few.
This herb has been used since ancient times for its muscle and joint pain relief and bone knitting. However Arnica should be used with caution as it is a potential skin irritant and should not be taken internally unless advised by a professional herbalist.
Pain's Bane™ begins its story over a decade ago with my husband searching for relief of chronic pain resulting from many old injuries of an active lifestyle. Among old injuries causing agitation were chronic lower back pain, knee pain, and the beginnings of arthritis in his toe. My husband disliked the negative side effects of ridding his pain temporarily with over the counter pills. He wanted to be able to soothe the pain directly topically. Unfortunately, topical analgesics readily available lacked the effectiveness he was looking for, nor were suitable for his sensitive skin.
He had already been dabbling experimentally in herbs with custom blending of teas, and thought, not with a little naďveté: why not formulate my own topical pain cream? That began a flow of events leading from research, experimentation on varying combinations, and training himself in the art and science of herbalism. The result was a pretty darn effective cream.
The rest is more recent history. I came along and was very impressed with the formula. I thought, why not share the great benefits of this formula with others! And a woman always has to add finishing touches…. So the formula was re-examined, refined, and expanded to give an even swifter kick to pain while also achieving wonderful healing results for the skin. With that, Pain's Bane™ was born.
